Your Creation
The creative activity in which students turn their linguistic, cultural and social input to an output and produce/create a story, rap, song, and music. This is an opportunity for students to create and publish their work on the class website. Adolescence is a time of great creative possibilities and this activity is designed to unleash their creative expressions. Students are encouraged to use previous learning and activities to express their ideas, emotions, thoughts, dreams, and personal stories. Students begin by filling out a form organized around SPARC: setting, participants, activity, reasons, and conclusion. Students begin by brainstorming with their partner and share their rap, song, lyrics, stories. Next it is time to write down your story, share your work, share your lyrics/stories with your partner, apply music to your lyrics rap, stories. Next practice your lyrics and music. Record yourself and after polishing your work, submit your work to the class website. Prizes are awarded to the students who have demonstrated the greatest creativity.
